Dr. Nedal Massalha is currently the scientific director and a senior researcher at the Institute of Applied Research of the Galilee Society, the chief engineer of AgRobics Ltd, and a lecturer at Kinneret College. He earned his BSc from the Department of Agricultural Engineering, MSc from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Technion, and PhD from the Department of Environmental Engineering of Ben Gurion University.
After completing his PhD, Nedal joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he worked as a postdoctoral research associate for 2 years.
His research focuses on: 1) Environmental health risks associated with the reuse of wastewater, biosolids, and manures; 2) Enhancing bioenergy recovery; and 3) Water and wastewater treatment processes including biological treatment, disinfection, and advanced oxidation processes.
Nedal has over 20 refereed publications.
