Dr. Dmitry Lisitsin holds a PhD from the Technion IIT. His thesis work aimed to develop processes increasing recovery of brackish water desalination plants through combination of desalination, crystallization, and waste treatment.
Dmitry served as VP Engineering at GES, global leader in design and operation of water and wastewater plants. Because of his leading role in the company, Dmitry had a unique opportunity to link most advanced academic research with practical industrial implementation in numerous projects executed by GES. Among these projects was the BAZAN refinery industrial effluent recovery plant, which was awarded the 2018 Israeli green plant of the year. The BAZAN industrial effluent recovery plant uses 4 sequential membrane-based processes to recover the industrial effluent as ultra-pure water for high pressure boilers feed.
Dmitry’s most recent activities at GES were focused on application of crystallization and electrically driven desalination technologies in treating and recovering most difficult-to-treat industrial waste streams.
Currently, Dmitry serves as Head of the Fuel R&D group at Electriq Global, an Israeli startup company developing revolutionary processes for safe storage and release of hydrogen using solid hydrogen-rich fuel powder. Dmitry’s efforts are focused on developing a viable process for recovering the waste spent fuel from hydrogen release systems back to the hydrogen-rich powder.
